Little Boy Aidan
Aidan, dubbed "Little Boy" because he is, got into a fight at school a couple weeks ago. The principal said he admitted to grabbing and kneeing a boy and telling him, "I know karate." Aidan denies all of that and said he only punched the kid once on the chest because the kid pushed him down first. I asked why he admitted to those other things and he said he didn't hear her (the principal) or understand her or something. Anyway, it's over now and it was a one-time deal, so it's water under the bridge, but I was just surprised 'cause Aidan is usually so friendly and popular with the kids.
Pooh On My Face
Yesterday Brody was touching my "Cindy Crawford/Modonna" mole, whatever you wanna call it, and I could tell he was slightly amused so I playfully asked him, "What is that?" His answer....."Pooh." Then he tried to scratch it off!

Dinner Party and Back to School
Well, it seems like just a few days ago I was talking about the kids starting summer break and here we are, back to school already. Following our Napa trip, which was a blast, we had an "old hollywood" themed dinner party with the family to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Pictures from both events will be posted shortly. My sis and her family just moved into town. I'm totally excited about having them here. The kids started school yesterday. I hate when summer ends because everytime they go up one grade, it seems like they take a giant step forward in life and it's just another reminder that they're growing up and we're getting old! I found out that one of our teachers is brand new. This is her first year teaching, excluding student teaching and some substitute work she did. She's quite young and looks kind of like the actress Jaime King. I don't discriminate against new teachers. Sometimes the new ones have the freshest ideas and the most energy, so we'll see how things go.

Weekend With Family
Just had a great weekend with my sisters and family. Aside from the fact that I got either a heat rash or poison oak and have been suffering from a body rash for 6 days now, we got quite a bit done this weekend. I think I'm past the worst part of my rash. It was unbearable the last couple of days, but I went to the urgent care center and got a shot, and some meds to help with the healing process and itchiness, so today all the symptoms have lightened up a bit. Tong said he saw a big sign down the street that read, "Danger, poison oak." I didn't go the route the sign was posted, but I'm sure if it's growing wild in the neighborhood, it's probably in more places than one. Anyway, we went out for sushi, baked brownies and cheesecakes, looked at homes on the market, went out for noodles, and got starbucks to relax for the afternoon before they headed home. Tong even put in an offer on a house for my sister. Hopefully things go well because I would love my family to be closer together. Oh, granny passed on the 3rd around midnight. The wake and funeral will be this coming weekend. We're all taking a few days off work towards the end of the week to be with the family.
